Insights Reports are a suite of reports that allow administrators and observers to monitor educators' progress both aggregately and individually.
The Observation Progress Report provides administrators a comprehensive view of progress within the organization’s evaluation cycle. Use the report to understand the organization's status in completing observations and then drill down to see how each learner or observer is progressing in their evaluation cycle.
The Strengths & Opportunities Report provides administrators a view of learners' performance on rubric indicators. Users who have access at an organization or district level, such as Superintendents or Assistant Superintendents, see data for learners across the district. Site or school-level administrators see data just for their site.
Access to both reports is included when Insights Reporting is added to a user's profile.
Choosing the Correct Level of Access to Users
Ensure you are assigning users the appropriate access for their role. Typically, there are three levels of access:
- Organization Insights Reports - Grants access to reports for all users within her/his organization. This is best for Organization-level administrators who need to see everyone's data across the district.
- SubOrg Insights Reports- Reports provisioned at this level provide the user access to view data for all users in a suborg or school site. If the user is associated with multiple sites, they will see data for all users at those sites. This level is best for Principals and Assistant Principals.
- Observer Insights Reports- Reports provisioned at this level provide the user access to view data for all activities that have been scheduled by that observer. This level is best for Coaches and Observers.
Assigning Access to Insights Reports to User Accounts
Access to Insights Reports is added to a user's profile as part of their Groups assignments. Groups contains multiple assignments that help make each user account unique. Users can be assigned to multiple groups depending on your organization's set-up. When adding access to Insights Reports, groups already added to the user's profile should not be adjusted.
You can also grant this access in bulk by downloading a copy of your Users CSV, adjusting assigned groups, and reuploading. When adding additional groups, be sure to leave the existing information intact and add your new information using commas to separate within a cell. More information can be found here.
