Org Admins with Org User Manager permissions can create and update user accounts.
Creating Observer-Learner Relationships
In order for users to schedule activities, share information, and perform other collaborative actions, you must first define their relationships in the Users tab.
- Toggle to your role as an Org Admin and Navigate to the Users tab.
- Find the user you wish to modify in the User Details list and then click the three dots at the end of the user row.
- Click to the Relationships tab of the User Profile.
- For Learners, click Add Relationship in the User is observed by: section. Repeat this process if more than one administrator will be observing this user.
- For Observers, click Add Relationship in the User observes: section. Repeat this process until all Learners this administrator will be observing have been added.
Helpful Hint: Adding a group will mass assign all learners or observers assigned to that group to the user in question. For example, if you add a rubric group or a learner group, all of those users will automatically add to the profile. The Select Groups section can be left blank. - Click the blue Save Relationship button.
- To delete a relationship, click the X on the name card.
Creating Auto-Share Relationships
Activities are conducted between a learner and observer. There are situations where it is appropriate for other observers to be able to view a learner’s activity, but not participate in the activity. Use auto-share to allow access to others’ activities or to give others access to the user’s activities.
Helpful Hint: Auto-share relationships are not retro-active. They only allow read-only access for assigned observers for activities scheduled after the auto-share relationship was created.
To create a new auto-share relationship between observers:
- Select These people can see User's observations: to allow other observers to see activities scheduled and completed by the Observer you are defining relationships for.
- Select User can see observations from: to allow the Observer you are defining relationships for to see activities scheduled and completed by the selected observers.
If you would like to create a reciprocal auto-share relationship, you must complete both sections.
Helpful Hint: Auto-share relationships can only be viewed for shared learners. This means that each read-only observer must have an observer-learner relationship with the learner(s) in question. - Click the blue Save Relationship button.
- To delete an auto-share relationship, click the X on the name card in the appropriate section.
