Signing and Locking Meetings

Signing and locking is part of the process of finalizing a meeting for districts that require digital signatures and observer-level locking. When you finish the meeting steps and are ready to mark it complete, follow the directions below to sign and lock the meeting.

  1. From the Dashboard, locate and expand the meeting you wish to sign and lock.
  2. Click any step in the overview to open the meeting. Signing and locking is performed within the meeting.
  3. At the bottom of any screen, locate and click Close & lock this meeting.

  1. In the dialog box that displays, enter your name as it appears below the signature field. Your signature is case sensitive and must match the displayed name or the software will not allow you to advance.

  2. Click Close & Lock in the lower right corner to lock the meeting or Not ready yet to exit the locking process.

  1. If needed, click the Undo button in the Review and Finalize panel to undo the locking action. The Undo button appears for 15 minutes, and displays a countdown of remaining minutes. After the Undo button disappears, meetings can still be unlocked. See Unlocking Observations and Meetings for instructions.
  2. If desired, click the Download a zip file of my meeting link to download a record of your final meeting steps.

Locked meetings that are awaiting a learner's signature display tiles that are darker than the standard completed tile.

Signing and Locking Observations

Signing and locking is part of the process of finalizing an observation for districts that require digital signatures and observer-level locking. When you finish the observation steps and are ready to mark it complete, follow the steps below to sign and lock the observation.

  1. From the Dashboard, locate and expand the observation you wish to sign and lock.
  2. Click Review & Close in the Activity Overview, or if you already have an observation step open, click Summary in the navigation bar.

 

Click Summary in the toolbar

The Review and Finalize screen gives an overview of activity status, similar to the Activity Overview on the dashboard.

  1. In the header, locate and click Close & lock this observation.
