The dashboard is an important portal to an observer's work flow. The dashboard provides navigation to all sections, as well as critical tools for creating and accessing learners' observations.
This video provides an overview of using and navigating the observer dashboard.

This video gives you an overview of the observer dashboard and its features.
After you log in, you’re taken to the dashboard.
Let’s take a look at the different features.
00:24 The navigation area at the top allows you to navigate to the site’s main sections, like Activities, Reporting, and at the end of the year, End of Year Tasks.
The sections you see are determined by both your role and the features enabled by your district.
You can click here to open BloomBoard, where you can find collections of professional learning resources and micro-credentials for teachers.
00:50 The Profile menu displays commands to transition between user roles, to access your user profile, or to sign out of EdReflect.
This is the dashboard.
All of your learners display in the top row.
The dashboard allows you to view and access a learner’s activities.
01:10 You can also click a learner’s profile picture to open his or her profile.
01:16 Click Activities to return to your dashboard.
If you have a lot of learners, you can use the learners search field to find a learner.
01:26 Use any portion of a learner’s first or last name.
The system automatically filters the view to just that learner’s activities.
01:36 To restore all your learners, just delete the search term.
Learners’ activities, like observations, meetings and conferences are grouped and displayed in rows.
Use the arrows to collapse or expand an activity group.
The dashboard displays your learners and observations in a grid, allowing you to view, manage and schedule activities.
02:02 All new activities are created in the dashboard.
In addition to creating new activities, the dashboard allows you to open and view existing activities.
02:16 Notice the activities are color-coded to indicate their status.
A gray, dated activity has been scheduled, but not started.
A green activity has been started
A yellow activity indicates it has been started, but there have been no updates in seven days.
A red activity has been started, but there have been no updates in 14 days and the current date is past the last scheduled date.
Finally, a gray activity with a check mark has been completed.
02:50 When you find the activity you were looking for, click it to open it.
The activity overview opens.
These are the steps needed to complete the activity.
03:01 You can click a step’s link on the left to open the step in the activity.
When you're in a step, you can click the Home icon to return to the activity overview in the Dashboard.
03:20 You can use the tools at the bottom to Review & Close an activity,
Change Sharing options
And Delete the activity.
03:31 When you’re finished with the overview, click the X to close it from view.
This concludes our review of the observer dashboard.
